Cerritos College Landscape Master Plan, Cerritos, CA
The Landscape Master Plan for Cerritos College was created as a component of the Master Plan for the campus expansion in technology and infrastructure. Like most California junior colleges, Cerritos College is expanding significantly due to unprecedented growth of its student population. The goal of the Landscape Master Plan is to create a signature California landscape and to address practical maintenance and water conservation issues. The Plan creates a landscape identity for the campus, a “front door” drop-off, outdoor “Quad” spaces and outdoor classrooms. Redesign of major pedestrian paths along two axes links new and existing buildings and outdoor spaces.
