The Fresno Historical Society sponsored an open two-stage competition to select a winning design and architectural team for its new Central California History Museum. The new History Museum, which will be built in downtown Fresno and will provide an in-depth and comprehensive look into the history of the Central Valley region and its people, is estimated to have a total project cost of approximately $17 million (including exhibits) and will include approximately 45,000 SF of new construction. WHITIN DESIGN WORKS collaborated with A.C. Martin Architects on an entry for the competition.
